Visit to Grandpa's & dancing maniac
We went to visit Grandpa to cheer him up after preschool today and Carter had to do a #2 while he was there. I was busy feeding Cohen so Grandpa got the call for help, the look on his face was priceless. He was willing to try to feed Cohen to get out of bum wiping duty.
Carter is so interested in words and spelling these days, since he learned how to spell his name. He can now spell dinosaur and Grandma Faye & Janet, just a couple words that I have wrote down for him to spell. We bought him the Barnyard movie as he had borrowed his cousin's and loved it. I have attached him dancing to his favourite part of the movie - it's kinda dark and hard to see but what a hoot!
Cohen is doing great, he has somewhat of a feeding schedule which has made life easier these days. Not sure how much he weighs, as I was weighing him every other day at the Dr.'s, health nurse or clinic in the early weeks due to his weight gain issues and was tired of always being ruled by the scale. He now has a double chin and a few rolls so is going fine. We have our 12 week appointment with the pediatrician on Friday to find out what percentile he is in for weight and height.
The adrenaline of having a baby has finally worn off, as I hit the wall of "exhaustion" this weekend. We had a party to go to on Saturday night and that may have did me in. Josh let me get a couple extra hours Sunday morning so I almost felt human again, he got the afternoon shift to sleep. 2 is definitely harder than 1.

Helping Hand & Family Excursion
Carter was the helping hand at preschool on Tuesday. He helped teach the lesson with Ms. Julie and set out snacks and whatever else the helping hand does. He was so excited to tell me that it was his turn, as each day is a different child. He also learned how to spell his name and we are so proud of him.
We have planned a trip to the West Edmonton Mall with Marcia, Steve, Dawson & Jayden in November. They have made it an annual trip and this year we asked if we could join them. This will be our Christmas gift for the family. We made our reservations in the Polynesian and African theme rooms at the Fantasyland hotel. I know that Carter will love the rooms and especially the waterpark and rides. Looking forward to getting away with friends on a kid friendly trip. It will be alot of work to pack for a 4 month old but will be worth it.

Guy smiley & Girlfriends already !!!!
Cohen started to coo and smile about a week ago, which is so adorable. Today he chatted and smiled like crazy at me, we are so lucky to have another "good" baby (knock on a 2 x 4). He is still struggling with a stuffy nose but hoping it will come out soon.
Carter colored pictures over the weekend to take to his 3 girlfriends at school today. Can hardly believe my little man has other girls in his life already - lol!
I made it to the gym for the 6th time this morning and 3 days in a row this week - definitely feeling it in the legs but it is great to be back. I found that I have physically bounced back way quicker without a c-section and it is nice to get all the comments of " you don't look like you just had a baby". Here's hoping some day I will again have my body back and if not I have 2 wonderful boys to show for it.
Josh went to the Oilers vs. Islanders game last night and said it was good as it was NHL but not all the good guys came which was somewhat disappointing. He had me worried sick as he left at 2 pm for a 7 pm game and didn't get home until after the 3:30 am feed some time. Men really need to learn to call.

Like most mothers can attest to, the first 2 months of Cohen's life have seemed to take forever and are somewhat of a blur. However, it now seems like they flew by. The first 2 months were very challenging with feeding issues but we are now back on track and he is looking like a healthy little baby and no longer a new born. He managed to get his first cold from his big bro earlier this week, so we have been battling a stuffed up nose which makes eating at night difficult.
As for Carter, he is almost over his cold. I think he may have got it from preschool. He started at the end of August and was hesitant about going at first as "he would miss me too much" but seems to be really enjoying it and has 3 girlfriends already. He is in gymnastics again for the fall and is doing well on his own, he is the only kid in his class that didn't need a parent to help out.
For me, I am getting minimal sleep and little time to nap. It is much harder with two, that's for sure but I am not complaining. Josh is trying to help out with night feeds but he is back at work so I don't want him to be up all night.
