Nice end to a stressful week

Work has been really stressful lately, hence why there has been no blogging for almost 2 weeks I guess. Just to top off the week, a lady ran into me on my way to work on Thursday morning and dented my front fender so now I get to deal with SGI and getting that fixed.

The weekend was great though, the weather was nice so we were outside lots. Friday was clean car day and so some yardwork. Saturday we played at the park twice and went to see the Easter bunny at the mall - Cohen was not real impressed with him but there was some fun stuff for the kids - crafts, bean bag toss, ring toss, coloring etc.

Cool dudes on the way home from the mall

Sunday started off with an Easter egg hunt - you would have thought it was Christmas for how excited Carter was. Cohen wasn't quite sure what was going on but Carter tried to help him out.

After lunch Carter and I went for a long bike ride/rollerblade and in the afternoon was more working in the yard - raking and cleaning up flower beds. We fit in some hitting practice and Cohen was a mowing machine, rocks and all. He loves watching the bubbles come out and that is one of his new words.

21 months old...

How quickly they grow up - almost 3 feet tall and already 21 months. Cohen is at such a cute age right now. He loves to hug, pull your head onto his shoulder to cuddle, kiss, dance, make animal noises (horse , pig & monkey), tease, try to talk, grab your hand and lead you where he wants to go. Just wish he would be a better sleeper and not get up so darn early. His vocabulary is starting to expand - more, grandma, grandpa, banana, Carter.

Trying to put on the glasses. Cool dude.

He loves to help in the kitchen.

He is also self potty training, he pointed at the toilet again the other day and went poop on it this time. Pretty soon I will do the "3 day potty training" with him but thought it would be easier if he could talk.

Cohen had his first swimming lesson on Saturday and did amazing for only being in a pool a handful of times. He listened very well, blew bubbles, did a front float and tried to jump in for "chop, chop timber". I guess all those times watching his brother paid off.

We spent most of the weekend outside, spring fever. We went to the park both days and I tried to get some yard work done while they played. Cohen loves riding in the wagon, it is an after work ritual almost every day.

Getting out of the wagon.

Carter catching Cohen on the slide.

Garage hockey

Figured out later he had an earache so he wasn't real happy.

Best made plans....

Apparently the babysitter and other kids had something similar to what Cohen had the other weekend. Carter finally caught the bug on Wednesday but it was coming out the other end something fierce. Josh was on daddy daycare duty last week, luckily this time he had holidays to use up. I had signed up for a stairclimb challenge that I thought would be fun, something different that the gym. I had done a little training but not much. It was on Sunday morning but apparently Cohen had other plans. Saturday night Josh and I attended the Red Sox dinner and when I got home around 11:30 pm all was fine until shortly after midnight. He woke up and I couldn't get him back to sleep and finally realized he needed a diaper change. It happened again around 1:30 but I had let him cry for half an hour and felt horrible after I realized that he needed changing again. Poor little guy, he just can't seem to get over it. Needless to say that I wasn't feeling up to a new challenge on Sunday morning after little sleep. Cohen is increasing his vocabulary. He now says more, ball, grandma, grandpa, Carter (kind of), banana (first time today). Looking forward to all the new words that will come.
