Beautiful September weekends

Well, we have been enjoying a beautiful September. The Labour Day weekend was gorgeous and enjoyed being outside. Josh did some golfing and took in the Rider game while we enjoyed the splash park. On Monday we ventured out to Evraz to try out the big slide like when I was a kid but it was closed so we just played and looked at the wildlife. Carter even fed them and had a bison come up to the fence with his snout.

I definitely got spoiled on my birthday from the boys. Tuesday was again beautiful and enjoyed the day off with the boys. The circumstances for having it off were not good though. We found out that our wonderful babysitter has a cancerous tumour that will take time to treat. We had to quickly struggle to find a new sitter and transition them after only meeting her once. It has been tough on the kids to be thrown into a new situation with basically a stranger and they both miss Danielle dearly. We are hoping for the best and that she will recover quickly and this will only be an interim solution.

This past weekend we finally got together with Marcia, Steve and the boys and went to their cabin. It was +30 both days so nice to be at the lake. We went out Saturday morning and took the kids to Echo beach in the afternoon, it was much cooler being in the water. Later we went in the party boat but didn't last long as we kept being pushed into shore and the kids were bored. We had a fire and smores of course that night. On Sunday we just took it easy and enjoyed another beautiful day.
