The little things...

I took Cohen for a walk in the wagon the other night and he all of a sudden put his hand on his head and said hat pointing back behind us. It was so cute, he thought his ball cap had blown off since he didn't feel it on his head (he wears one at the babysitters all the time). I have learned to cherish and appreciate the small things as there is so much in our lives that we take for granted and we will never have these times back.

Cohen has added a number of new words to his vocabulary - yes being one of them which is way better than that "no" word. He also says "oh" if you tell him something that he understands. Between an upset stomach and then a cough and back to the stomach trouble, it has been a long couple weeks. We had his 2nd checkup with the specialist about his cystic hygroma and the doctor is happy to leave it as is. It may never fully go away so they can do an injection of steroids but surgery is not necessary so we are very thankful.

Carter has been overly emotional these days, not sure why. We had his kindergarten orientation so maybe he is a little nervous about next year already. He will be going to George Lee and we are very happy with the school and teacher so far. He continues to struggle with not being able to nap in the afternoon as he is an active boy so hoping by fall it will get better as he will be in school 5 afternoons a week not just four. We have his preschool graduation next Wednesday - celebrate the small things. It is hard to believe we are onto the next phase of his life already, where did that 5 years go?

Dad, I miss you lots and Laurie I think of you so often, hoping that God gives you the strength to make it through.
