Christmas with Kids
We entertained on Christmas Eve with Josh's mom, grandma, grandpa, aunt and her girls and my mom. We just had coffee, some nibbles and chatted. Everyone was gone by 10 pm so Santa could come.
The kids went to bed late but got up around 7:45 am (which was sleeping in). Carter was very excited to hear that Santa enjoyed the cookie he made at preschool. My mom stayed the night and Janet came over in the morning to watch the kids open gifts. Carter was definitely into it this year and couldn't open them fast enough, whereas Cohen - who I thought would be a holy terror ripping open gifts - could have cared less.
Instead, Cohen liked the ones already open, the hockey nets & sticks from grandma Janet were a hit and the turtle from grandma Faye that he bounces on.

Next off to Derek's for breakfast and presents for the cousins to open - Kaden, Carter & Cohen. Took the kids home to nap and that off to my mom's for supper. Carter enjoyed a whole turkey leg as you can see. Cohen wasn't much for supper but liked to eat the poppycock with a ladle.
Christmas was great with the kids, as they kept it fun but it was still hard nonetheless without dad - I love and miss you Dad.
